Storyboards

In recent years I have been working a lot with
character design and storyboards.

My working process begins with quick
rough sketches of the scenes to find the most
interesting solution for the script.

Currently I'm drawing the storyboards with
Cintiq, but I still do these studies of the scenes
on paper.

Below are some sketches of a storyboard
for an animated series here in Brazil

Nos últimos anos eu tenho trabalhado muito
com character design e storyboards.
Meu processo de trabalho começa com
rascunhos rápidos das cenas para tentar
encontrar a solução mais interessante para
o roteiro.
Atualmente estou desenhando os storyboards
com Cintiq, mas eu ainda faço estes estudos
das cenas em papel.
Abaixo estão alguns sketches para um
storyboard de uma série animada aqui no
Brazil.

Post-it 010: Daredevil

Frank Miller wrote the best stories of  Daredevil for Marvel Comics.
I love the classical stories written and drawn by Miller envolvend Elektra, Bullseye, Kingpin, the ninja organization The Hand.
In addition to these stories my favorite are:
the graphic novel "Love and War" with the stunning art of Bill Sienkiewicz and
speccialy the story "Born Again" drawn by the incredible David Mazzucchelli: Kingpin discovers the secret identity of  Daredevil. A great story with a thrilling conclusion.

Frank Miller escreveu as melhores estórias do Demolidor para a Marvel Comics.
Eu gosto muito das estórias clássicas escritas e desenhadas por Miller envolvendo Elektra, Mercenário, o Rei do Crime, a organização ninja The Hand(aqui no Brasil conhecida como o Tentáculo).
Além destas estórias minhas favoritas são:
a graphic novel "Amor e Guerra" com a arte estonteante de Bill Sienkiewicz e
especialmente a estória "Born Again"(aqui no Brasil conhecida como "A Queda de Murdock"), desenhada pelo incrível David Mazzucchelli: o Rei do Crime descobre a identidade secreta do Demolidor. Uma grande estória com uma conclusão eletrizante.

Homage to Ronald Searle

I have always been inspired by the extraordinary drawing of Searle and always tried to learn by watching and practicing his style since I first saw his St Trinian's work.
Recently I did these characters for a personal project.

And these others below are some random drawings I did.

I really love the work of Searle and the his drawing  will remain a great reference for me.

Eu sempre me inspirei no extraordinário desenho de Searle e sempre tentei aprender observando e treinando o estilo dele desde que vi pela primeira vez o seu trabalho no St Trinian's.
Recentemente eu fiz estes personagens acima (os bêbados) para um projeto pessoal.
Os outros são alguns desenhos aleatórios que eu fiz.
Eu realmente admiro o trabalho de Searle e o desenho dele continuará sendo uma grande referência para mim.

Ronald Searle 1920-2011
I'm very sad to know that Ronald Searle died.
Searle has always been one of my favorite artists and a great inspiration to me.
He was one of the most influential artists for the animation industry in terms of character design.
His style inspired geniuses of animation as Chuck Jones, Milt Kahl and great artists of today as Uli Meyer and Shane Prigmore.

Eu estou muito triste em saber que Ronald Searle morreu.
Searle sempre foi um dos meus artistas favoritos e uma grande inspiração para mim.
Ele foi um dos mais influentes artistas para o ramo da animação, em termos de character design.
Seu estilo inspirou gênios da animação como Chuck Jones, Milt Kahl e grandes artistas de hoje como Uli Meyer e Shane Prigmore.

Drawings for great friends 2

This drawing was done for Cauê, a talented friend. He is a great illustrator and background artist. He is also a big fan of Dexter's Laboratory, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Samurai Jack.
Cauê was a student of the sensational comicbook artist Eugênio Colonnese and he learned a lot about drawing with him and it was essential to start his career.

Este desenho foi feito para o telentoso amigo Cauê. Ele é um grande ilustrador e cenarista. Ele também é um grande fã de Dexter, Mansão Foster, Samurai Jack.
Ele foi aluno do sensacional desenhista Eugênio Colonnese e aprendeu muito sobre desenho com ele e isso foi essencial para começar sua carreira.
